#WhatToDoThisWeek

Uncategorized

Happy Monday! Today it’s raining, and I just get a feeling that the weather this week is going to stay miserable, so for this week’s What To Do This Week in Cheshire recommendation for Grazia I have recommended a place that is so cosy, quirky and delish that it really doesn’t matter what the weather is doing. The Botanist in Alderley Edge is a place where you can leave your brollies at the door and snuggle in for the afternoon or evening, or both! Their cocktail list is mouth watering and really catered around groups of people with their ‘Watering Cans’ for four people. The food is all about comfort food, and I love their pick-and-mix deli boards and Welsh rarebit fondue. Save room for desert too – the marshmallow and strawberry kebab with hot chocolate sauce is amazing.

The interior is lovely. With pared back wood and interesting touches, it is an eclectic mix between a natural history museum and a potting shed. I love the botany illustrations on the wall and the glass cabinets filled with flower pots and glass jars.

#WhatToDoThisWeek

Uncategorized

I have started doing a weekly post for Grazia Live’s #WhatToDoThisWeek feature, for Cheshire. It’s a really great feature that gives fab ideas each week, from shops, bars and cool cafes, and in every area – so wherever you are there is something for you. Of course I am giving you the first sneak peek. So this week what did I suggest?

Well it’s officially Autumn, but with these lovely sunny afternoons I’m not quite ready to let go of summer. Stretch it out that tiny bit longer and head to Seven Sister’s Ice Cream Farm in Knutsford. They have a really cool retro parlour cafe, with great coffee, cakes and lush ice cream flavours. And it’s open all year round! My favourite? Cake Batter Flavour! Yum!
They have a play barn, cows and a maize-maze, so the kids can be entertained whilst you read a magazine and snuggle in one of their comfy armchairs.

Have a look at the feature and look for your area to see what suggestions there are for you. And of course if your are in Cheshire then head to Seven Sisters Farm on one of the last few days of afternoon summer sun!
